Going to Anime North 2009

I've tried to tiptoe around some of my geeky hobbies over the last couple of months. Many of them can be real time wasters, although every community has its shining moments. That is why I plan to return to Anime North, a convention held in Toronto drawing fans from near and far. It is a fan operated convention, which reduces costs and keeps the appeal focused on artisan and hobbyist attendees rather and acting as an outlet for corporate players to tell fans what to buy this year. DIY is an important part of this community.

I was involved in Cosplay activities last year. All of that is visible online in my personal photo albums at Picasa. Unfortunately my job hunt has kept me away from the Cosplay group at Brock University. Never thought I'd hear someone curse the fact that I am graduating. On the plus side my disposable income is slightly higher when I don't have to buy hundreds of dollars worth of books - but it is lower because it is finite.

Alie will be coming to Anime North this year too. This time she is sure that she wants to come, especially after missing the event last year. So there will be twice as many photos.

If you find me there - you win the prize.
